The Product
A permanent record, produced in metal
Each Legacy plaque is produced on a composite aluminium substrate. The name, milestone, match detail and club identity are applied using raised UV printing — a technique that creates physical depth and a durable 3D surface that does not fade over time.
Every plaque is supplied in a presentation box, making it ready to present at the moment it’s earned — whether in the dressing room after the match or at a formal club occasion.

Milestone Framework
Four finish tiers. Every career stage.
The Legacy Programme maps every significant moment across a professional football career to one of four finish tiers — Black, Copper, Silver and Gold. The framework covers players, match officials, coaches and club staff.
Where applicable, recognitions can incorporate official legacy numbering systems used by clubs or governing bodies. The framework is adaptable to align with existing structures within clubs, leagues and governing bodies.

How It Works
From enquiry to presentation
The process runs from initial contact through to a plaque arriving at the club, ready to present. For clubs on Managed and Premium tiers, GAROE handles every step after the initial setup — milestone tracking, design, production and delivery.
Step one
Initial enquiry
Contact GAROE to discuss the programme and which service tier fits your club’s requirements. No commitment is required at this stage.
Step two
Milestone confirmed
The milestone is identified — either reported by the club (Standard) or tracked and notified by GAROE (Managed / Premium). Match details are confirmed.
Step three
Design and production
GAROE designs the plaque using the confirmed details and club branding. On Standard tier, the club approves the final design before production begins.
Step four
Delivered, ready to present
The finished plaque arrives in its presentation box. On Managed and Premium tiers, delivery is free and timed to the club’s schedule.
Managed & Premium
On Managed and Premium tiers, GAROE tracks player milestones directly and notifies the club when one is approaching — removing the need for internal coordination.
Production timeline
Typical production time is confirmed at enquiry. Priority production is available on the Premium tier, and GAROE can advise on lead times for specific milestones.
Service Tiers
Three ways to run the programme
Standard is available on-demand with no ongoing commitment. Managed and Premium transfer responsibility to GAROE — milestone tracking, production and delivery are handled end-to-end, with plaques priced at a discounted rate as part of the service.

Football player milestone plaques are physical recognition products presented to players, officials or club staff when they reach a significant career landmark — such as 100 professional appearances, a first international cap, or a long service anniversary. The GAROE Legacy Programme produces each plaque on a composite aluminium substrate with raised UV print, supplied in a presentation box ready to present at the moment it’s earned.
A football club recognition programme is a structured system for identifying and marking key career milestones across a club’s players, match officials, coaches and staff. The GAROE Legacy Programme provides the framework, the physical product and — on Managed and Premium tiers — the ongoing management of milestone tracking and production, so clubs have a consistent, professional recognition process in place throughout the season.
The most common player appearance awards are produced at 100, 200 and 300 professional appearances — corresponding to the Copper, Silver and Gold finish tiers in the GAROE milestone framework. The programme also covers debut recognition, international cap milestones (25, 50, 75, 100 caps), and career landmarks including retirement recognition. Milestones and finish tiers can be adapted to fit a club’s own legacy numbering system or existing recognition structure.
The Legacy Programme covers the full range of professional football roles. Players, match officials, coaches and club staff each have their own milestone categories within the framework — from a first professional match for a newly appointed referee to a long service award for a member of the backroom team. All milestones map to the appropriate finish tier regardless of role.
Long service recognition is built into the milestone framework for coaches, backroom staff and club employees. Service milestones are mapped to a finish tier and produced in the same format as player milestones — a named, dated metal plaque presented in a box. On Managed and Premium tiers, GAROE tracks service records alongside player appearances and alerts the club when a service milestone is approaching.
Typical production time is confirmed at enquiry and depends on the service tier and current schedule. Priority production is available on the Premium tier. GAROE can advise on specific lead times — particularly for milestones approaching mid-season where timing is important. On Managed and Premium tiers, GAROE notifies the club in advance so production is never rushed.
The milestone framework is adaptable. Club branding, match details, finish tiers and official legacy numbering systems used by your club or governing body can all be incorporated. The design is always built around the specific milestone and the individual being recognised — not a generic template applied to every order. The framework can also align with existing recognition structures within leagues and governing bodies.
The current programme partner is Swansea City AFC, where multiple milestone plaques have been produced and presented across the 2025–26 season — including career appearance milestones for Liam Cullen and Jay Fulton (100, 200 and 300 appearances). Enquiries from other professional clubs and sport organisations are welcome.
